The Counsel by Steve Ski

A team of investigators looking for a missing man finds technology that can travel between dimensions, and a secret organization led by a billionaire wants it.

About the book

What if you had access to the most advanced technology known to mankind? Would you abuse the opportunity? The Counsel did!

In this relentless roller coaster ride, a team of investigators -- Lambert International Investigations -- in search of a missing man, discovers technology unknown to mankind. The secret organization behind everything, is known, as the Counsel and led by a ruthless billionaire, willing to stop at nothing to achieve unlimited power and wealth.

A gifted physicist, at Molecular Conversion Technology Laboratories, developed the technology capable of transporting to other dimensions in the same timeline. During the development of this technology, Claude Morret, discovered a trail of deceit and treachery, linking MCT Labs to the Counsel.

When the Counsel initiates phase IV of the project, months ahead of schedule, the team of investigators is thrust into a web of thrilling action taking them to the secret labs in Oregon and Jamaica.

When each of the teams are overwhelmed and facing certain death, they each elect to transport to another dimension with the hopes of being able to return to theirs. Ruthless Pirate ruling parties, in the midst of a World War, ruled the world they transported into.

During their adventure, they run into friends and foes from their world. One of the teams is captured and taken to the fort, while the other team barely escapes the ruthless pirates. Luke Lambert and his team find each other, in the midst of the battle, to fight their way to freedom and back to their world.
