This was the agency's About page as captured in February 2009. It is the only description of the agency's founders that survives in the captures, and it is reproduced in full. The same text also appeared at two other addresses, abouttheagency.html and whoarewe.html, which the archive keeps separately because each was linked from different versions of the site.

Barbara J. Harris is one of the founders of the Harris Literary Agency. Barbara has been an editor for a number of years and has credentials in Speech/Language Pathology. She received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and her Master's degree from San Diego State University. As an editor, she saw many excellent manuscripts that did not make publication and felt that she could better serve authors in the capacity of an agent who could advocate their works to publishers.

The agency is committed to manage a limited clientele of fine writers. By doing so, it is ble to work directly with talented authors and represent their material to publishers.
