But The Heavens Never Cried by Cindy E. Barg

A woman's journey after her brother's murder, from the life-altering phone call through the trial to her family's long grief. It follows the anger, isolation and slow work of making peace with loss.

About the book

But The Heavens Never Cried is a powerful, heart-moving novel that passionately and intimately weaves the reader into the life of one woman's insuperable journey from her brother's savage murder to her survival and resplendent enlightenment as she emerges triumphantly from her pain.

The book evolves from a life-altering phone call, through the shocking murder trial, to the splintered existence of the family and the unremitting resignation that follows before the healing begins.

But The Heavens Never Cried captures the essence of paradoxical emotions and the harrowing spectrum of changes during the grieving process, exposing the anger, fear, isolation, and the extreme introspection leading to the acknowledgment of pain and making peace with grief.

It is written to be reread by siblings and survivors who constantly ask the question, "Why won't this pain go away?" But The Heavens Never Cried is an inspired, written confirmation that sorrow is okay, and where you are with your grief is exactly where you are suppose to be, providing you with healing balm for your own life.

But The Heavens Never Cried is tangible, communicating to people on a human level. It is touching and, purposeful, helping to reclaim a very deep and loving connection to oneself and to living, while finding grace in the grieving process.
