About the book
Severe reactions to prescription drugs in two unrelated patients bring estranged half-sisters, Dr. Claire Nicoll, an ER doctor and Dr. Dawn Roberts, President of an analytical laboratory, together to investigate the sources of the drugs. As the two cases are linked, Claire finds corruption has permeated the medical system she works in.
Dawn investigates and discovers the drugs are a contaminated source of antibiotics manufactured by Dragon, an Asian chemical conglomerate, illegally selling them through its U.S. pharmaceutical company. To find proof to take to the authorities at the Food and Drug Agency (FDA) Dawn hires a corporate espionage investigator and ex-cop named Cal.
The investigation leads the heroines from the pristine beaches of Bermuda tot he back alleys of Kowloon as they track down the drug sources. A trail of violence and death results to those involved as Dragon tries to cover up the importation of the drugs.
Dawn's self-defense training saves her from several attempts on her life and Cal rescues a kidnapped Claire in a fast-paced finale as the evidence is delivered and the FDA brings Dragon to justice.
